FURTHER INFORMATION FOR WOMEN
ARE YOU A WOMAN AT A MATERNITY UNIT TAKING PART IN CHOICE?
If you are unsure if your unit is taking part in the study you can check the list below:
If you are booked at a maternity unit taking part in CHOICE you can ask for more information from your midwife.
You can also read more about the study by downloading the CHOICE information sheet which is saved in your recommended reading page on your BadgerNet maternity notes which you can access through the portal. If you do not have access to the portal you can download it here or you can request a copy by emailing CHOICE.Study@ed.ac.uk.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO TAKE PART?
If you have already been informed about CHOICE by your midwife, or have read about the study on the portal but do not want to take part you can opt-out of the study. You must let your midwife or obstetrician know that you want to opt-out of the study, and they will arrange for your data to be excluded from the research study.
If you would prefer to speak to someone who is independent of your maternity care you can contact your local CHOICE Champion. You can find the contact details for your CHOICE Champion on the study information leaflet.
If you have any questions about the study please email* us at CHOICE.Study@ed.ac.uk.
