Spinbob Jackpot Games Guide

Jackpot games add a top prize on top of the normal paytable, from fixed Hold & Win grids to progressive pots that grow with every bet. Here is how each type works, which titles to look at, and what happens when you land a big one.

Three kinds of jackpot

The jackpot tab groups every game with a prize above the standard paytable. They fall into three broad types, and knowing which is which tells you a lot about what you are actually playing for.

Progressive jackpots

A small percentage of every qualifying bet feeds a prize pot that keeps growing until someone wins it. Some progressives are local to a single game; others are networked across many casinos, which is how the pots get large. After a win the jackpot resets to a “seed” value and starts climbing again. The odds of landing a progressive are long, and part of each stake goes into the pot, so the base game usually returns a little less than a comparable non-jackpot slot.

Fixed jackpots

The top prize is a fixed multiple of your stake, for example 1,000x or 5,000x, and it is the same every time. Because the amount does not depend on other players, you can see exactly what the top prize is worth before you spin. Many fixed jackpots are tiered as Mini, Minor, Major and Grand.

Hold & Win jackpots

The most common format in the lobby. Land enough coin or bonus symbols and they lock in place while you get three respins. Each new symbol locks too and resets the respins to three. When the respins run out, the values on the locked symbols are added up, and filling the whole grid usually pays the Grand. Penguin King has built a whole series of these.

Drops & wins and tournaments

Alongside the games’ own jackpots, the casino runs drops & wins on selected titles: random cash prizes that land during normal play on participating games, with no extra stake needed. Prizes and participating games change, so check the promotion tile in the lobby for the current list.

The weekly Reef Races slot tournaments are the other community prize, with prize pools from £2,500. Points are earned from play on the featured games and a leaderboard pays the top finishers. Read the scoring rules first; some tournaments score by biggest single-spin multiplier, which means a small stake can still top the table. Our promotions page has the full line-up.

How jackpots are paid in the UK

If you land a big win, a few things happen:

  1. The win is credited in full. UK-licensed operators pay jackpot wins in full to your cash balance, not in instalments, unless the game’s own rules state otherwise. Gambling winnings are not subject to income tax in the UK.
  2. Verification may follow. A large withdrawal can trigger extra checks. You may be asked to confirm your identity again or provide Source of Funds documents such as payslips or bank statements. This is standard UK practice, not a sign that anything is wrong. Our KYC verification guide explains what to expect.
  3. Withdrawal limits apply. The standard maximum is £5,000 per day and £30,000 per month, higher for Coral Club members. A very large jackpot may therefore be paid out over several withdrawals, though the full amount stays in your balance. See our withdrawals guide for timings by method.

⚠️ Do not play from a VPN or someone else's account

Jackpot payouts are checked carefully. A duplicate account, a VPN connection from outside the UK or a payment method in another person’s name can all lead to winnings being withheld under the terms. Play from your own verified account only.

Jackpots and bonus wagering

The welcome bonus (100% up to £500 plus 200 free spins) is wagered 10x on the bonus amount. Most slots count 100% towards that, but some jackpot games count 0%, which means stakes on them do nothing to clear your bonus. Some bonus terms also exclude jackpot prizes won while a bonus is active, so check the specific terms shown when you opt in. If jackpot games are your main interest, consider playing them with cash and using the bonus on standard slots. Our wagering rules guide explains contribution rates in detail.

UK rules still apply

Jackpot slots are slots, so every UK rule applies: a maximum stake of £5 per spin (£2 if you are 18–24), no autoplay, a minimum spin time of 2.5 seconds and no option to buy a feature. Progressive jackpots sometimes advertise that the top prize needs the maximum stake; in the UK, that maximum is the legal £5 cap or lower.

Keep it in proportion

Jackpot odds are long, and a growing pot can make it tempting to keep spinning. Set a budget, treat any jackpot as a bonus rather than a goal, and use the deposit limits and reality checks in your account. If it stops being fun, our responsible gambling page lists free and confidential UK support.

Frequently asked questions

Are jackpot wins paid in full in the UK?+

Yes. UK-licensed operators pay jackpot wins in full, and gambling winnings are not taxed for UK players. A large win may trigger identity or source-of-funds checks before withdrawal.

Do jackpot games count towards bonus wagering?+

Some do not. While most slots count 100%, some jackpot games count 0%, so check the game's contribution in the bonus terms before playing with a bonus balance.

What is the difference between a progressive and a fixed jackpot?+

A fixed jackpot is a set multiple of your stake that never changes. A progressive jackpot grows with a small share of every bet until someone wins it, then resets to a starting value.

Can I buy my way into a jackpot feature?+

No. Feature purchases are not allowed for players in Great Britain, so jackpot rounds can only be triggered during normal play.
