Spinbob Wagering Rules Explained

Wagering decides whether a bonus is worth claiming. Here is how the 10x requirement works at Spinbob, with real pound examples, game weightings and the mistakes that most often cost players their bonus.

What wagering actually means

A wagering requirement, sometimes called a playthrough, is the total amount you must bet before bonus money becomes cash you can withdraw. It does not mean you have to lose that amount — the same pounds can be staked again and again as you win and lose. It simply measures turnover.

Since 19 January 2026, the UK Gambling Commission caps bonus wagering at 10x. That ended the era of far steeper deposit-plus-bonus multiples for British players. Every bonus at Spinbob uses 10x, and it is calculated on the bonus amount only, not on your deposit.

Worked examples in pounds

Numbers make this easier. These all use the welcome offer (100% up to £500) unless noted.

DepositBonus receivedWagering (10x bonus)Total balance to play with
£10£10£100£20
£50£50£500£100
£100£100£1,000£200
£250£250£2,500£500
£500£500£5,000£1,000
£800£500 (capped)£5,000£1,300

Example 1 — the £50 starter. You deposit £50 and receive £50 in bonus funds. Your target is £500. At £1 per spin on slots, that is 500 spins; at £0.50, it is 1,000 spins. Once the target is met, whatever is left in your bonus balance converts to cash.

Example 2 — mixing games. With the same £500 target, you play £300 on slots (counts £300) and £400 on live roulette (counts 10%, so £40). You have cleared £340 and still need £160.

Example 3 — free spins. Your 20 daily spins on Le Bandit at £0.10 win £6. That £6 needs 10x wagering, so £60 of bets before it becomes withdrawable.

Example 4 — Reef Wallet Boost. A £200 Friday deposit via PayPal earns a 25% boost of £50. At 10x, you need £500 of wagering within 7 days.

Game contribution table

Not every bet counts equally. Games with a lower house edge or easy low-risk strategies are weighted down.

The bonus terms list any excluded titles. If a game shows a bonus-restricted label in the lobby, assume it does not count.

Maximum stake while wagering

While a bonus is active your maximum stake is £5 per spin, falling to £2 per spin if you are aged 18–24. These match the UK legal limits on online slots, so the casino simply applies the statutory cap. Note that slots also run at a minimum of 2.5 seconds per spin with no autoplay or turbo modes — wagering cannot be rushed.

⚠️ Watch the stake on table games

Table and live games are not covered by the slot stake cap, but the bonus terms still restrict bet size while a bonus is active. Placing oversized bets to clear wagering faster can be treated as a breach and void your winnings.

Validity and expiry

  • Welcome match bonus: 30 days from crediting.
  • Welcome free spins: each batch of 20 is valid for 24 hours.
  • Reef Wallet Boost: 7 days.
  • Saturday Spin Splash: 3 days.
  • Sportsbook free bets: 7 days (no wagering on winnings).

When a bonus expires with wagering incomplete, the remaining bonus balance and any winnings tied to it are removed. Your real-money balance is unaffected.

How your balance is used

Your real cash is used first, then the bonus funds. That means if you win while still on your cash balance, the winnings are real money, although withdrawing before wagering is complete will usually forfeit the bonus. Check the “Bonuses” section of your account for a live progress bar.

Forfeiting a bonus

Changed your mind? You can forfeit an active bonus at any time. The bonus and any bonus-derived winnings disappear; your remaining real cash stays. Forfeiting is often sensible if you want to play live tables at full weighting or need to withdraw quickly.

Bonus abuse rules

The operator’s terms define bonus abuse broadly. The common triggers are:

  • Opening more than one account, or claiming the welcome offer more than once per person, household, IP address or payment method.
  • Low-risk betting patterns, such as covering both red and black, where games are allowed at all.
  • Exceeding the maximum stake while a bonus is active.
  • Using third-party payment methods or a VPN to disguise your identity or location.

The penalty is removal of the bonus and associated winnings, and possibly account closure. More on that in our account blocked guide.

Offers with no wagering

Two promotions skip wagering entirely. The 10% weekly cashback (up to £200) is paid every Monday as cash, and sportsbook free bet winnings are paid as cash too, minus the stake. Full details are on our promotions page.

Common mistakes to avoid

  1. Forgetting to opt in at the first deposit, then expecting the bonus to appear later.
  2. Letting daily free spins expire — 24 hours goes quickly.
  3. Playing live tables and wondering why the progress bar barely moves.
  4. Requesting a withdrawal mid-wagering, which normally cancels the bonus.
  5. Betting above £5 (or £2 for 18–24s) while the bonus is active.
  6. Not verifying your identity early — sort KYC before you need to cash out; see KYC verification.

If wagering still feels like a chore, decline the bonus and play with cash only. Your withdrawals then follow the standard withdrawal process with no conditions attached.

Do live casino games count towards wagering?+

What is the maximum bet while a bonus is active?+

£5 per spin, or £2 per spin if you are aged 18 to 24 — the same as the UK legal online slot stake limit.
